Andy Warhol 1928-1987

A $1 million dollars reward was offered for information leading to the return of Andy Warhol paintings. Last month 10 paintings totalling an estimated ten million pounds where stolen believed to be a burglary from a private home in Los-Angeles.

Detective Mark Sommer of the Los Angeles Police Department's art theft division points out stolen art in the Los-Angeles area has stayed steady over the last ten years and there is no cause for alarm. International agency pay close attention to art theft, as stolen art mainly points to organized crime.  Famous works of art are stolen to order fetching hundreds of thousands of pounds on the open international markets.
